About Artwish
Our Story
Artwish is an art academy that prioritizes creative freedom and diverse artistic experiences.
We offer a supportive and inspiring environment where students—from elementary through high school—can grow artistically and develop their own creative voice.
At Artwish, we believe art is more than technical skill.
Through a variety of materials and approaches, students are encouraged to explore ideas, express individuality, and build confidence in their work.
From beginners to advanced artists, each student learns and creates at their own pace, guided by their interests and abilities.
Artwish also places strong emphasis on real-world artistic experiences.
We host annual student exhibitions, with locations changing each year, to give students the opportunity to present their artwork in professional settings.
Our students have exhibited their work at respected venues, including the North Carolina Museum of Art.
More than an art class, Artwish is a creative community where students connect, inspire one another, and form lasting friendships through art.
Join Artwish to explore your creativity and grow in an environment that celebrates imagination and artistic growth.
Art. Creativity. Growth.
Class
Artwish art programs are thoughtfully designed to meet students’ creative goals and learning environments through
three distinct offerings: Regular Art Classes, Year-Round & Homeschool One-Day Classes,
and Korean Art & Culture Experience One-Day Classes.
Art Programs at Artwish
🎨 1. Regular Art Classes
Regular art classes meet once a week and are offered in small groups based on age and skill level,
serving students from elementary through high school.
With a strong foundation in drawing and painting, students explore a variety of materials and techniques
through theme-based projects and individual creative work.
Students enrolled in regular classes are given
opportunities to participate in at least one student exhibition each year,
allowing them to present their artwork in real exhibition settings and build confidence in their artistic voice.
These exhibition experiences support long-term artistic growth and portfolio development.
🌱 2. Year-Round & Homeschool One-Day Classes
For students enrolled in year-round or homeschooling programs,
Artwish offers daytime one-day art classes designed to fit alternative academic schedules.
These classes are held in a focused environment and emphasize
self-directed creativity, advanced projects, and in-depth exploration of individual interests.
Homeschooling students also benefit from working alongside peers,
encouraging collaboration, communication, and creative exchange.
🌸 3. Korean Art & Culture Experience One-Day Class
Minhwa One-Day Experience
Artwish offers a unique one-day class centered on Minhwa, traditional Korean folk painting,
providing students with the opportunity to explore Korean art and culture through hands-on experience.
In this class, students create their own Minhwa artwork while learning about
the symbolism, colors, and stories found in traditional Korean painting.
The experience is enriched with an introduction to Korean culture and cuisine,
allowing students to engage with Korean heritage in a meaningful and memorable way.
This cultural art experience is ideal for students seeking
a deeper, more immersive approach to art beyond the classroom.
